Student Members Win Award in Statewide Competition

Aug 20, 2020

Congratulations to two student members of the Garner Area Historical Society, Bethany and Luke Crawford. Bethany and Luke created models of Garner’s Historic Depot during all of its stages for the Tar Heel Junior Historians Association competition. They won a third place award for their effort! The statewide competition was sponsored by the N.C. Museum of History. Their models and historical narrative about the Garner Depot will be on display at the North Carolina Museum of History for one year, and afterward will be displayed in the Garner Depot Museum. Wonderful job, Bethany and Luke!
