Congratulations to Garner’s Clara Craven Book Club!

Apr 26, 2022

Featured in the March, 2022 issue of Our State magazine, the Clara Craven Book Club of Garner is celebrating its 75th anniversary! Founded by the late Katie Corbett during World War II, these women have met for cultural and literary enrichment for many years. Their namesake was the widow of a local Methodist pastor. Limited to 12 members, the group has tackled many topics in their reading selections. Some current members count their grandmothers as original members of the group! We congratulate the Clara Craven Book Club on their many years of connection in the Garner Community.
