The Garner History Museum at the Depot had its first anniversary on November 21! During this first year, we have welcomed over 526 visitors to our Museum. Thanks so much to all our Docents who have welcomed these visitors, we couldn’t do it without you. If you would like to become a Docent, the process is easy, just give us a call.
Hey Kids, Let’s Take A StoryWalk!
The Museum is pleased to announce upcoming StoryWalks for kids of all ages! What is a StoryWalk, you ask? It “is a creative way to engage children in reading while they move. Pages from a children’s book are displayed individually along a path, wall, or fence—turning a simple walk into a fun literacy adventure,” as explained by storybookwalk.com.
